Another First!

Another birthday celebration, this time it's from Zaini's side of the family. Another niece celebrated her first birthday.

And just like my sister and her daughter's birthday celebration last month, this birthday was celebrated at home too.
The birthday girl in purple with her cousin, who celebrated her birthday earlier in May.
And just like her cousin, the birthday girl got a Barbie birthday cake.
A groggy birthday girl who just woke up with her grandpa. The cake cutting was delayed because she was sleepy. So it was nap time first for her before everyone gets to sing song and eat her birthday cake. We don't want temper tantrums because of lack of sleep, do we? ^^
and when she was all ready and happy, it was time to blow the candle. Happy birthday little Laila!
Raimie played big brother that weekend and even had a sleepover there while Mommy and Daddy went back home. Good to see Raimie not minding "babysitting" his cousins and playing with them.

  7. @eugene,
These special cakes are all the rage now. A football shaped cake, a ladybug, an Ultraman shaped cake... there are plenty of choice.

    When are your boys' birthdays?

  8. @foong,
    Yup, another birthday.

And yeah, cute Barbie cake. Not a fan of all that cream covering the cake though. ;)

  11. wow!! that gorgeous birthday cake!! i wonder if the baby girl will appreciate that, maybe she still doesn't know what's a barbie yet.. :)

  12. Raimie is becoming the big brother already, looking after and playing with his cousin sisters.. good!! you and zaini can ditch him and so something you like alone, hahahaha~~ :p

  13. @SK,
It's the girl in purple lar, the birthday girl. The chubbier one is her cousin, and just celebrated her 1st birthday in May. Got Barbie cake also.

I doubt both of them can remember or appreciate much of the barbie cake. It's usually us parents who got way too excited and prepare too much. Raimie's first birthday was celebrated with a cake that was bigger than him! @.@

Raimie? Yeah, we've been ditching him for a bit lately. Good thing he is becoming more independent. xD

  14. hahaha!! that's very true!! the parents are usually more excited than the kids themselves!! haha, whoever bought the cake is because he/she likes that and not the kid~~ :p

  15. but at least for yours and zaini's birthday, raimie didn't insist to have an angry bird birthday cake right?? some parents really bought that for their birthday cakes for the sake of the kids, hahahahaha~~ :D

  16. @SK,
OMG, that Angry Bird craze. He has yet asked for an angry bird cake but kept badgering us for other stuff - t-shirts, backpacks, all sorts of nonsense just because all his friends have them. Aiseh...

He doesn't care for cake anyway. But he'll get what he wants on his birthday. ^^

  24. Birthday girl looks bewildered :) I love the birthday cake. Lots of icing, my kinda cake!

    ReplyDelete
  25. @jellybelly,
    Haha. She did indeed. ;)

For me, the less icing there is, the better for me. But of course, that'd be a plain cake. ^^
