At Lake Garden - Deer Park

The park, which is located at Lake Garden is free of charge which made it ideal for budget conscious visitors like us.

There are mousedeers and deers here, the mousedeers are now caged inside instead of being able to roam outside.

The deers are not caged, and are able to enjoy a little bit of "freedom".

  1. is this new? I don't remember there being a deer park in lake garden. Must check it out next time I'm back in KL :)

  2. Why are the mousedeers caged inside? I thought the last time I saw they were not caged - but that was many years ago.

  3. @lynne,
    it's located nearby the "Rumah Sampan".

    @foongpc,
    yeah, pity they are now in cages (two actually) and you can barely see the mousedeers, let alone take photos of them). :(

  4. I found the park a tad disappointing coz the mouse deers were caged up and I could hardly glimpse them through the cages. The deers were free to roam but visitors can only view them from quite a distance..I much prefer a closer proximity. Nevertheless, I hope they continue to maintain it well and attract more visitors :)

  5. @MBL,
    maybe if they charge entrance fee, the place will be more maintained?
    I remember we used to be able to feed the deers and pet them, but when we came with Raimie, we were unable to do so. (No staff around too)
